Food Rocket is a San Francisco-based Food-Tech startup that provides the fastest grocery delivery in the US, promising door-to-door delivery within 10-15 minutes of placing an order. Its business model is based on AI-enabled technologies to manage inventory, forecast demand, and optimize delivery time by predicting the closest micro fulfillment center that offers the fastest delivery time and the lowest fulfillment and delivery cost. The startup is competing with the biggest players in the market — DoorDash, GoPuff, Amazon Fresh, InstaCart.  

We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated on-site Lead Brand Ambassador to join our growing Marketing team at Food Rocket. In this role, you will be working under the Head of Marketing, and cross-functionally with different Food Rocket teams, to spread the word about our brand in Charlotte and other markets. You will help shape the program from the ground up. This is a paid, boots-on-the-ground opportunity where you will be spreading brand awareness through physical means around Charlotte. Your team will work in various public settings to show potential customers why they need Food Rocket in their lives. You will manage a team of 30-100 sales-oriented sales rockstars.

Responsibilities

    • Become a credible Food Rocket product and brand expert that is able to accurately convey information to stakeholders, including potential customers and potential future sales rockstars (in-person and on social media)
    • Work collaboratively under the Head of Marketing, and along with other Brand Ambassadors, to meet daily, weekly, and monthly activation quotas
    • Be the face of the brand at events, understand the importance of a memorable first impression for our potential customers, and be able to convey this to the team of sales rockstars
    • Identify, coordinate, set up, and host brand events around Charlotte, i.e., high traffic areas and pop-up events
    • Report to events on time, remain professional at all times, and work activations as needed
    • Serve as a runner to drop off/pick-up assets for events and acquire all necessary equipment
    • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to build out the logistics for the Food Rocket sales rockstars program
    • Manage a team of sales rockstars, analyze performance metrics, create and implement incentive structures, and ensure a sufficient presence of sales rockstars at various locations
    • Strategize and create best practices/structures to create successful street team campaigns for acquiring new customers

Required Qualifications

    • Excellent communication and coordination skills 
    • Be extremely organized and have excellent multitasking skills 
    • Must be able to work exceptionally well with others in a team environment
    • Must be able to handle logistic transfer or asset transfer (via your own vehicle or rideshare)
    • Must be able to sell our product to customers and prospective sales rockstars
    • Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 30-50 lbs
    • Full knowledge of product and company
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Data-driven mindset

This is a hybrid opportunity with no set schedule to be on site. Expect to conduct field/on-site work up to 80% of the time.

PAY RATE:

$20 per hour
