We are seeking a full-time Senior Android Engineer to join our Mobile team. As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will specialize in building products on best-in-class technologies. We are looking for developers with experience in user interfaces, infrastructure, and tools supporting applications on Android using Kotlin.
 

What you will be doing:

    • Work closely with our Product, Design, and Marketing teams to build new and innovative application experiences for the Android platform
    • Implement native Android user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques
    • Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with our backend platforms
    • Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance
    • Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently with minimal guidance
    • Architect reusable software components and libraries
    • Analyze and optimize backend and infrastructure code for quality, efficiency and performance
    • Code user stories, help unblock the team, coach the engineers, be a beacon of positivity

What you should have:

    • 5+ years experience building complex applications for the Android OS using Kotlin with the Android SDK and other frameworks
    • Experience with Dagger 2 and RX
    • Experience with Gradle and basic cryptography
    • Experience with writing technical documentation and implementation plans
    • Experience with multi-threading programming and mobile memory management
    • Excellent short and long term planning skills
    • Ability to be on track with latest approaches regarding Android app development
    • Experience working in teams using a balance of Agile methodology and get-stuff-done creativity
    • Experience providing high level estimates to drive our product roadmap
    • Experience working with QA, Project Management, Product Management, Design, and Marketing teams
