About The Role
This role focuses on managing industrial relations and compliance with labor laws and regulations. You’ll work closely with both internal teams (People and Culture) and external stakeholders. You’ll ensure our our employee have a consistent, conducive, and cooperative GoTo experience through clear and compliant HR-owned policies and processes. Along with creating, reviewing, and revising our HR policies, you’ll get to own various Employee Relations activities, including the investigation & audit process and labor compliance training. With the People Business Partner community, you’ll roll out these Employee Relations activities to all our operating offices, and gracefully resolve sensitive employee issues.
What You Will Do
- Build constructive relationships between all stakeholders both internally (employees) and externally (government bodies, other industry bodies, and external parties)
- Draft and review all legal employment documentation (e.g., company policy, employment agreement, third-party agreement, warning letters, etc)
- Manage employee formalities processes, including work permits (RPTKA, IMTA, KITAS), expatriate documentation, BPJS registration, and employment-related reporting to government bodies
- Responsible for routine or mandatory reports to the government or regulators, and monthly reports to management
- Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances, including reviewing investigation reports and recommending disciplinary action based on IR guidelines and practices
- Initiate and maintain employment-related compliance, and communicate new policies to employees
- Enhance management and employee knowledge on industrial relations issues
- Review and revise Company Regulations/Peraturan Perusahaan (PP), wage reviews, and labor-related policies and procedures
- Manage end-to-end termination processes and develop strategies to minimize risks, offering support to managers during separations
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Compliance, Industrial Relations, or managing employee formalities (including work permits, expatriate documentation, and regulatory reporting)
- Strong understanding of labor law and the best practices for implementation
- Team player with solid communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess alternative solutions, identify weaknesses, and implement the best approach to issues
- Up-to-date knowledge of government regulations and labor laws
- Experience in managing employment-related compliance, including formalities processes (e.g., work permits, BPJS registration, expatriate documentation)
