About The Role

Fasten your helmet and come aboard if you’re ready to be our Payroll Specialist, India. In this role, you will be an integral player within the People Operations team based in Bangalore, India. We are looking for an individual who excels working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, is result-oriented, is eager to develop himself / herself, eager to champion various HR initiatives for our employees in India and global markets, and passionate in providing delight to employee experience. This role handles the end-to-end payroll activities and involves streamlining of HR processes to optimize workflow efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

What You Will Do

    • Handle the full end-to-end payroll operations ensuring timely & accurate salary disbursements to all employees.
    • Coordinate and manage external payroll vendor ensuring the predefined service level is met. 
    • Process all statutory payments & employee benefits on a timely basis and filing of returns as per the local compliances & government instructions.
    • Ensure preparation & finalization of the annual payroll certificates (eg: Form 16) of all employees within the prescribed time period.
    • Address & resolve grievances within predefined timelines and respond professionally & accurately to inquiries related to payroll earnings, deductions, taxes, etc. 
    • Partner with different stakeholders such as the Compensation & Benefits team, Finance team, People Partner team on all initiatives as well as to deliver any data requests.
    • Participate & support payroll-related audit matters and HR projects whenever required. 

What You Will Need

    • At least 3 years of working experience in India payroll operations, including audit, taxation, etc. Experience in Singapore and / or Vietnam payroll will be advantageous. 
    • Good understanding of Indian employment laws, local payroll practices, and statutory payroll regulations (tax, PF, salary structure etc). 
    • Strong operational hands on experience, problem solving, and analytical skills
    • Possess high level of integrity and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
    • Good communication skills with professional command of written and spoken English and has a customer-focus mindset
    • Able to interact and collaborate with stakeholders from all levels while also able to work independently, to multitask, and determine priorities proactively under high pressure
    • Strong aptitude to learn and pick up new skills, and highly adaptable to change
    • Tech-savvy with good proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite and preferably in Workday and Salesforce as well.
Our People Operations team consists of over 20 team members based in Indonesia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam. The gist of our role is to be a strategic operations partner in delivering and maintaining a high level of operational excellence. Working closely with the various COE teams, it's our job to ensure we offer an exceptional experience for all of our employees and stakeholders.
