The Head of Sales will work closely with the Head of Online Merchants to define the commercial vision and strategy, lead execution to deliver sales, increase margins and market share in online payment acceptance in Indonesia by acquiring new merchants. The Head of Sales will also be responsible for business development, commercial effectiveness, business analytics, and market intelligence in related to improve merchant retention and trust.

This position reports directly to the Head of Online Merchants and one of the key positions in the Merchant Services senior leadership.

What You Will Do

    • Developing and implementing commercial strategies in line with company goals and objectives, with the aim to accelerate growth
    • Managing senior members of the Sales (enterprise merchants, SMB and very small merchants), by extension, their teams
    • Managing existing client relationships - understanding their requirements, ensuring their needs are met
    • Designing and implementing new sales and merchant acquisition strategies
    • Collaborating with and coordinating diverse teams (e.g. marketing, sales, customer service)
    • Negotiating ongoing contracts with merchants,; managing and reviewing contracts and making recommendations regarding commerciality
    • Monitoring performance of commercial activities using key metrics and reporting to senior management
    • Assisting with the setting, managing, and monitoring financial targets and budget development
    • Establishing and maintaining long-term, profitable partnerships with key stakeholders

What This Role Needs

    • At least 15 years of working experience in the related field
    • Must have experience leading at least two of the three merchant segments (Ent/key accounts, SMB, Unmanaged/long tail)
    • Experienced in managing a huge team size
    • Good to have -  have managed P&L 
    • Strong Problem Solving capabilities
    • Agile and willing to adapt to rapidly changing situations/environments
    • Ability to manage multiple complex and matrixed sales engagements whilst always positioning the products at the center of the engagement
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with merchants
    • High energy and engagement ethos, self starter , out of the box thinker, able to stay motivated
    • An ability to quickly grasp key experiences and device spec and formulate a sales technique to overcome any objections
    • Excellent communication skills - presentation, negotiation, and closingExcellent in contract and commercial negotiation process
    • Experience in payment industry is a plus
