About the Role
They say no man is an island, and this notion holds particularly true for this role. As our researcher, you’ll be an instrumental cog in the Research & Insights team at Gojek. We are looking for a researcher for GoFood and GoMart, our Quick Commerce business that will directly impact the organization’s strategies, product to build, and direction to grow our business. Your main objectives will be to plan and execute research projects and present them to answer company objectives. Your manager will work with you to develop your skills and knowledge and to ensure the quality of the research. You’ll have the opportunity to flex your research skills, as well as dig deeper with big data, getting us even closer as a thinking partner and navigator for our stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Do research projects for Online Food Delivery and / or Quick Commerce ecosystems (customers, merchants or drivers) to come up with actionable insights for product & business development, such as product concept testing, usability testing, post-launch evaluation study, Brand Health Tracking, campaign evaluation, pricing study, etc.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders (Product, Design, Strategic & Planning, and Marketing team) and understand their business objectives and translate it to relevant research questions
- Write quantitative and qualitative research plans (including ensuring objectives, determining sample design, frameworks, timeline and what method to use) with medium-low supervision from the Research Manager.
- Collect and analyze data using a variety of research methods, including surveys, interviews, FGD, and data exploration with medium - low supervision.
- Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in reports and presentations.
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders and effectively communicating research findings to non-technical teams.
What You Will Need
- Minimum 3-4 years of consumer / market research experienced.
- Prior exposure to working in a top-tier market research agency or consultant firm and/or Product research projects is a plus
- Strong in quantitative research methodology - from planning, sampling, survey writing, to charting and data analysis.
- Have experience in both quantitative & qualitative research, and have a good understanding of Indonesian market and culture.
- Have experience in projects with strategic focus like Usage & Attitude, Brand Health Tracking, Market sizing, and complex product launch is an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and the aptitude to pick up new skills quickly
- Good communication and language skills in Bahasa and English (writing & speaking)
- Proven effective project management skill, communication skill, and strategic thinking capability with an orientation to detail.
- Confident and comfortable facing, influencing, and getting buy-in from internal & external stakeholders in day-to-day activities
- A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated commitment. A self-motivator for learning, problem-solving, and deep-diving into complex concepts

The Food Pod Research Team is a tight-knit group of researchers from diverse backgrounds and interests. We’re currently focused on taking the Food Business to the next level in Indonesia. Outside of work, we enjoy exploring trending food spots around Blok M and staying active through various sports like squash, tennis, yoga, pilates, swimming, running, dancing, muay thai, and softball.
