About the Role
Working as part of the GoTo Data Protection and Privacy Office, this role will focus on supporting and providing guidance to the business units (ODS and eCommerce) in data protection and privacy risk management and compliance. This includes providing advice and assessments on initiatives/projects through various privacy instruments (e.g. Privacy Impact Assessment, Privacy by Design review, etc.). Successful candidates will be exposed to the highly dynamic and fast-paced working environment and are expected to exhibit sound knowledge and application of personal data protection requirements into various types of projects/initiatives from the business units. Good communication skill is essential since the role is exposed to various stakeholders with different backgrounds who may have different levels of understanding on the topic of data protection and privacy.

What you will do

    • Be the first point of contact for NakaTroops (ODS and eCommerce) for any data protection and privacy related matters.
    • Assess new projects/initiatives to identify any privacy risks and provide recommendations on required privacy measures to be incorporated into products and services to maintain user’s privacy.
    • Assists with remediation of data protection and privacy control deficiencies.
    • Collaborate with various teams in the organization, including business, product and engineering

What you will need

    • Sound knowledge of personal data protection laws and regulations. At the very minimum, familiarity with Indonesia's UU Pelindungan Data Pribadi. 
    • Proficient in both English and Bahasa (written and spoken).
    • Experience in the area of data protection and privacy is highly desirable.
    • Related certifications are also an advantage: CIPM, CIPP, CIPT
    • Good communication skills as the role requires interaction with various stakeholders.
    • Highly motivated to learn and develop, able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The GoTo DPPO Team focuses on ensuring compliance with prevailing personal data protection laws and regulations along with best practices in protecting the personal data and privacy of individuals in the GoTo ecosystem. The team comprises personnel from various backgrounds (legal, IT/technical, risk and control, etc.) and promotes open communication and strong collaboration. Team members are held accountable for their tasks and are empowered to make changes to make things better.
