As a Senior Agile Coach in Gogolook, you will play a critical role to implement efficient and effective product delivery processes to meet business demands and challenges.
Your expertise should span areas ranging mainly from Agile Methodologies and test-driven design to communication and stakeholder management techniques. You have two focused responsibilities aligned with efficiency and effectiveness goals of our product delivery processes, they are:

For efficiency goals:
1. Standardize or redesign how Scrum ceremonies are run to minimize meeting time while maximizing story clarity and accuracy of story points.
2. Standardize or ensure interoperability between JIRA project workflows (of various teams) to ensure traceability and alignment in roles and responsibilities.
3. To jump in to train existing agile coaches (who are full time software engineers with the agile coach role) and demonstrate best practices of being a Scrum Master as and when necessary.

For effectiveness goals:
1. Ensure the balanced delivery of product features and reduction of tech debt while meeting the capacity constraints of manpower resources.
2. Ensure that ground level issues have a venue for feedback and problems can be resolved.
3. Not all product development necessitates a Scrum process, so it is expected that the Senior Agile Coach is able to lead in Kanban, Extreme Programming, TDD and other types of agile methodologies when appropriate.

Responsibilities

    • Attend Scrum ceremonies as needed to train other coaches or to ensure standardization. Redesign as needed, lead and achieve consensus.
    • Manage and design JIRA boards to ensure workflow efficiency and effectiveness. Help ensure well written Stories and clear Acceptance Criteria.
    • Train/Demonstrate/Coach other engineers to become Agile Coaches, to help all product teams use secure SDLC to deliver product value and quality standards.
    • Work with Tech Leaders and Product Managers to guide policies on how technical debts are burned down, and help achieve delivery time predictability through stable velocity measurements.
    • Use techniques in Agile such as Kanban, TDD, Extreme Programming, DevOps as appropriate to improve the product feature delivery time windows. Work with cross functional teams such as Infrastructure, Architecture and Product Management on work priorities to meet company OKRs.

Minimum qualifications

    • Computer Science or Information Management related Bachelor’s degree.
    • Deep practical experience with JIRA configuration across large teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
    • Ability to communicate well in English and Mandarin.
    • At least 4 years of experience as an Agile Coach for teams of at least 20-30.

Preferred qualifications

    • Software Engineering experience of at least 3 years.
