We seek an exceptional Cloud Engineering Manager with outstanding leadership and technical expertise. You will lead our 2 teams of 7 cloud engineers in developing and maintaining efficient, innovative cloud solutions to support our enterprise Veri-Scam products – Whoscall OEM, web risky, and phone number identification relative services, and consumer product services – Message Checker, Mei-Yu-Yi and desktop browser extension.
This role requires outstanding technical leadership and excellent communication skills to coach the team with backend and data pipeline ETL-related development tasks. We aim to collectively deliver business services that meet compliance and uphold a high Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management: Guide, coach, and motivate team members, ensuring continuous technical and professional growth. Engage in daily team activities, optimizing process efficiency and achieving schedule and quality standards. Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and communicate effectively across departments and in a remote work environment.
- Technical Planning: Collaborate with the engineering team and product project managers to create technical plans for cloud-related functionalities, ensuring scalability, stability, and efficiency of solutions.
- Solution Design: Participate in architecting and designing cloud-related functionalities to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Remote Team Management: In a remote work environment, communicate effectively with team members to ensure accurate transmission of information and instructions and maintain cooperation and cohesion within the remote team.
- Technical Orientation: Stay updated with the latest cloud technology trends and best practices and apply this knowledge in project development.
- Emergency Issue Management: Lead the team in managing faults and emergencies in the production environment, ensuring timely problem resolution and high system availability.
- Cross Teams Collaboration: Actively cooperate with the product team, business development team, QA team, data analysis team, and other related departments, ensuring effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in cloud-related software development and architecture, with at least 2 years of team management experience. Passionate about enterprise product and technology development and continuously following the latest industry trends.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and services and backend programming languages such as Golang and Python. Experience with serverless, micro-service architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Leadership: Excellent leadership ability, inspiring and guiding teams and promoting collaboration and team cohesion.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills can adapt to a remote working environment.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, able to respond quickly and find solutions to reduce business risk.
- Professional Attitude: Positive attitude, ownership, high sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure. Ability to switch tasks smoothly and adapt to diverse tasks and challenges.
Significant plus
- Has experience in anti-scam technology, especially in developing products or solutions that can identify scams related to messages, web pages, and virtual currencies.
