Grundens is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring timely financial processes and reporting, directly contributing to our company's success. The Staff Accountant offers a blend of traditional and modern accounting practices, perfect for the dynamic accounting professional. 
 
The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities

    • Handble the complete accounts payable process.
    • Closely manage prepaid inventory and intercompany transfers.
    • Maintain vendor information and ownership of key master data fields in the ERP System MS Dynamics NAV/BC.
    • Month end responsibilities including bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, various accruals, various journal entries, etc.
    • Prepare annual compliance reports such as 1099’s, personal property taxes, etc.  
    • Manager corporate credit card program, including issuing credit cards and reviewing expense reports.
    • Manage fixed assets including acquisition, disposal, & depreciation.
    • Renew business licenses and maintain state annual reports and representation through third party.
    • Gather audit support documentation supporting year end close, and other compliance audits.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • 3-5 years’ work experience in an office environment
    • 2+ years’ experience working in an ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC highly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge working in Microsoft products, including Teams, Outlooks, and Excel. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of US GAAP

Additional Details

    • Work location: Poulsbo Headquarters with ability to work remotely 2 days. 

    • Compensation: This role can expect to earn $57,000 – 75,000 annually. This position will be paid on an hourly basis to be compliant with WA state exempt salary thresholds.
