HCG is growing, and we are looking to hire an experienced and talented Investment Accountant to assist with NAV reporting along with other FinOps projects. Your contributions will make a meaningful impact on the success of the firm, and ultimately allow the firm to execute its mission effectively.  You will be working with a bright and motivated team who seeks to expand HCG’s competitive advantage daily.

·       Maintain the general ledger, as well as accurate and organized accounting records.
·       Calculate the allocation of partnership earnings and maintain investor allocations
·       Prepare and review monthly NAV valuation packages.
·       Provide support for annual audit and help prepare tax information as needed
·       Provide the Investing team with the necessary information for portfolio construction and management.
·       Work closely with the Engineering team on FinOps projects (e.g., data ingestion, automation, etc.)
Principles for Execution of Responsibilities

·       Exceptional project and deadline management:  The candidate must be able to formulate and commit to realistic deadlines for completing projects. 
·       Proactive communication:  The candidate must be able to communicate both progress and bottlenecks – upstream and downstream, internal to HCG and with external providers.
·       Seeker of efficiency gains:  The candidate must aspire to enhance KPIs at the individual and firm level through technology and automation. 

·   CPA with an undergraduate degree and excellent academic performance in Accounting or Finance
·   4-6 years of investment accounting experience at a financial institution (e.g., investment bank, hedge fund, private equity, etc.)
·       Knowledge & understanding of US GAAP and statutory accounting and financial reporting regulations is a must
·   Familiarity with accounting for private credit or other level 3 asset classes is a plus
·       Proficient knowledge and usage of a GL system, with a strong preference for Oracle NetSuite
·       Local applicants are preferred but remote candidates will also be considered depending on qualifications
