The Role:
As a Business Development Representative, you are at the forefront of Hakkoda's growth and expansion efforts. This role is pivotal in building the initial contact bridge between potential clients and our business, setting the stage for meaningful opportunities. Your primary responsibility is to identify, engage, and develop relationships with prospective enterprise clients to increase our market penetration and revenue. To do this, you will collaborate closely with both marketing and sales to craft outreach campaigns, handoff leads, and facilitate targeted growth in specific markets.
This position is remote (WFH), but we are seeking individuals in the Denver metro area for occasional meetups with the Director of Demand Generation and VP of Marketing. Occasional travel out of state may be required (up to 5%).

Responsibilities:
- Conduct targeted research to understand industry trends and identify potential leads
- Collaborate with marketing team members to develop targeting strategies, messaging, content, and campaigns that enhance lead generation
- Execute strategic outreach outbound initiatives through a combination of cold calling, email, and social media engagement using LinkedIn account & Linkedin Sales Navigator
- Evaluate and qualify leads based on their potential business impact and alignment with Hakkoda’s offerings
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads, fostering a collaborative environment that accelerates the sales cycle
- Test, measure, and iterate on communication tactics and strategies to improve outreach effectiveness and adapt to changing market conditions
- Ensure accurate tracking and management of lead data in our CRM system
- Meet or exceed established performance metrics, delivering sales-qualified meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Represent Hakkoda, enhancing brand visibility and forging key relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 2-3 years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service, preferably in the technology or data solutions industry
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Hubspot CRM software and Google suite
- Experience using outreach tools and working cross-functionally to develop leads and opportunities
- High level of initiative, drive, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience with the lead lifecycle and implementing strategies that accelerate opportunity generation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the Snowflake Data Cloud ecosystem or similar data warehousing technologies
- Familiarity with the cloud infrastructure and IT services industry
- Experience with enterprise sales with an average deal size of $500K+
- Experience with professional services
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Experience with contact enrichment and prospecting tools
$50,000 - $60,000 a year
The compensation range for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. We are committed to offering a competitive package that reflects the value each individual brings to the team. Additionally, this role has a variable incentive.
