Role Description
We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our expanding team of experts. Data ingestion pipelines, data architecture, data governance, and security are all aspects of the work. The most suitable candidate is someone who has experience building data pipelines and data cleansing, and enjoys optimizing systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer's responsibility is to assist our Data Architects, Analytics Engineers, and Data Scientists with data initiatives and ensure that the most effective data delivery architecture is consistent across all ongoing customer projects. To succeed in this role, you must be a team-player, self-directed, and confident in supporting the data requirements of multiple teams, systems, and products. The candidate will be part of a growing fast company leveraging a modern data stack supported on Snowflake data platform to meet customers expectations.
Qualifications
- 2+yrs as a Data Engineer or in related technical roles
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in computer science, information systems, Mathematics, MIS or related field
- Experience developing data warehouses
- Experience building ETL / ELT ingestion pipelines, and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- Experience with SQL scripting and working with relational databases
- Experience with business intelligence/data analytics and strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
- Experience with Python Scripting
- Strong consulting skills, project management and organizational skills
- Advanced English
Nice to have
- Experience working with Snowflake
- Understanding of Snowflake design patterns and migration architectures is a major plus
- Understanding of Snowflake roles and user security
- Understanding of Snowflake capabilities like Snowpipe, etc.
- Data Warehouse certifications (SnowPro, Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner, etc.)
- Certification on a cloud platform ( AWS, Azure, GCP)
