Role Description
In the capacity of a Lead Data Engineer, you stand at the cutting edge of developing imaginative data and analytics solutions that serve both our clients and our team members. You're tasked with leading projects and teams, shaping their journey through the creation and deployment of revolutionary solutions inside the realm of Snowflake Data Cloud. Activities like creating data ingestion pipelines, architecting data frameworks, and maintaining stringent data governance and security precautions fall within your scope.
We're searching for experienced experts skilled in crafting, building, and examining data conversion procedures across an array of cloud-based data storage and analytical platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your duties will involve forging close ties with clients to understand their needs, synergizing with both our internal and client teams to develop and implement inventive strategies.
In addition, we rely on our Leaders to guide and assist other team members while keeping up to speed with the constantly-changing technological environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or similar analytical field
- 4+yrs in related technical roles, 1+ in management or team leadership
- Experience hiring, developing and managing a technical team
- Experience designing and developing data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, SQL Server, Spark)
- Experience building ETL / ELT ingestion pipelines with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and tuning SQL including analysis of query plans
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools
- Experience with business intelligence/data analytics
- Cloud experience on Snowflake or AWS (Azure, GCP are nice to have as well)
- Experience and expertise in Python and familiarity with the application of modern data science language is a plus
- Management skills (people and agile projects)
- Advanced English
