About the role

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) crafts Sequence’s narrative to the market to win mindshare, market share, and position the platform as gaming’s leading web3 infrastructure stack and solutions provider. The PMM partners with the product team to define the unique selling points (USP), unique value proposition (UVP), key features and benefits, and market positioning of platform features and services. The PMM is responsible for crafting compelling narratives and communication for customers and prospects—including game developers, blockchains, publishers—and internal audiences. The PMM works closely with product management to understand what is being built, why, who it is targeting, and leverages data, research, and consumer insights to inform internal development efforts and product roadmaps to achieve excellent product-market fit. You’ll work closely with the developer relations team to create collateral and resources for a technical audience as well.

The PMM obsesses over the customer—informing them, representing them, acquiring, engaging, and retaining them—and works closely with the marketing, product, business, developer relations, data, and community teams. The PMM is a strategic and executional hub of the marketing team. You will report to the Chief Storyteller, collaborate with the Product Marketing Director, and you will have a creative services designer and video agency as partner resources in addition to an internal community and social team to enhance external communications.


    • Devise, understand, and refine Sequence target personas
    • Research the market to better understand the competitive environment and key trends
    • Help define the marketing strategy—including product, price, place, and promotion—and communicate it internally to facilitate stakeholder alignment
    • Work with the product team to influence product roadmap, represent customer needs and feedback, and define goals and metrics for product launches and sustained success
    • Define marketing programs at the strategic level (ads, promotions, events, partner co-marketing, other) leveraging team resources for execution
    • Work with the developer relations team to create technical collateral and resources, including templates, repos, and demos for developers
    • Work with marketing and business colleagues to create materials that position Sequence strongly in the market and enable sales, while highlighting product features and benefits
    • Create product messaging, write blogs, thought leadership, success stories, case studies, sales enablement materials, storyboards for videos
    • Handle email marketing
    • Drive the marketing team to create videos, graphics, guides, and leverage developer relations and community as needed
    • Collaborate with the community team to articulate product benefits to partners, prospects, KOLs and ambassadors
    • Influence the go-to-market and company strategy

What we are looking for

    • 5-7 years of product marketing experience in gaming, web3, or SaaS
    • Strong understanding of web3 technologies and the blockchain ecosystem
    • Strong understanding of and passion for the games industry 
    • Experience working with B2B businesses and developer-focused products and tools
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to make Sequence resonate with the market and internally
    • Creativity to make Sequence stand out in the marketplace. We need novel, compelling, fun and powerful campaigns to build awareness, educate, and eventually convert prospects into partners
    • Ability to demonstrate empathy and understand customer needs, attitudes, and pain points 
    • Qualitative and quantitative skills to analyze the market, customers, and competition, and translate analysis into problems to be solved and jobs to be done, and then explain how Sequence can fix those problems
    • Data-driven orientation to measure marketing performance, calculate ROI, iterate, tweak messaging, creative, strategy, and channels, to best connect with key decision-makers and win over prospects
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
    • Collaborative and open-minded, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Startup and adaptive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Passion for blockchain, web3, and the potential for decentralized applications to transform industries
    • Fluency in Japanese or Korean is a plus
