About the Job:
This position is part-time, 20 hours per week. The HR Representative plays a key role in supporting a variety of human resource initiatives and serves as the primary contact for employees, managers, and applicants throughout the hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding processes. The HR Representative provides specialized administrative tasks including reviewing job applications from prospective employees, managing and directing compensation and benefits, managing and overseeing records, and generating reports.

Core Responsibilities & Requirements:
*Actively maintain HRIS database and personnel files to ensure records are accurate. Update new employee information and various employee changes after verifying necessary documentation and approvals have been obtained; accountable for following up with managers and/or employees if information is incomplete
*Facilitate agency-wide staffing workflow and candidate communication; places and handles job postings on various job boards; conducts and reviews background checks, and drafts offer letters
*Support employee off-boarding process, ensure appropriate paperwork is submitted and processed; send continuation of benefits materials and exit interview forms to former employees; review and respond to unemployment claims
*Act as first point of contact responding to a broad range of HR related inquiries including policy and benefit questions; routes and raises issues to the appropriate HR resource
*Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details
*Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings
*Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews
*Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence
*Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers
*Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plan
*Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance review
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
*Minimum of 2 years in HR preferred
*Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Strong organizational skills
*High attention to detail
*Experience with Apple products preferred
*Experience with Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
