THE WORK:

    • You'll analyze invitation-to-bid (ITB) documents, including construction drawings, specifications, and scope of work documents to determine the electrical requirements for data center and other complex projects.
    • You'll perform detailed quantity take-offs (QTOs) using digital take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, LiveCount).
    • You'll prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs.
    • You'll solicit, analyze, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure completeness and competitiveness.
    • You'll develop detailed basis of estimate (BOE) documentation, outlining assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
    • You'll collaborate with the operations and pre-construction team to develop value-engineering ideas and constructability reviews.
    • You'll participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings (virtually) with clients, engineers, and general contractors.
    • You'll utilize estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, McCormick) to build and format professional proposals.
    • You'll maintain current knowledge of electrical codes, industry standards, material pricing, and labor rates.
    • You'll manage multiple estimates simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
    • Proven experience estimating large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects. Direct experience with data center projects is required.
    • Proficiency with electrical estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst) and digital take-off tools (e.g., Bluebeam Revu).

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

    • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including but not limited to: primary and secondary power distribution, emergency/back-up power systems (generators, UPS, ATS), branch power, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding.
    • Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFPs independently.
$110,000 - $150,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
