About the Role:
Our client is in search of a Community Manager to enhance their Japanese Community Management team. The perfect candidate for this role is bilingual and possesses a background in community management or similar fields. They should demonstrate proficiency in organizing in-person events and crafting compelling social media content.
This role directly reports to the Global Head of Community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the strategy for player programs in Japan
- Organize in-person player program events throughout Japan
- Handle communication with community hosts of the JP player program
- Assist with in-person activations at industry events
- Propose original content for the game's social media platforms
- Collaborate with Japanese content creators to create and curate content
- Work alongside the Japan branding team on various initiatives
- Act as a representative for Japanese players in meetings with the development team
- Participate in and create livestream and podcast content tailored for Japanese players
- Support in-person initiatives for the game's merchandise store in Japan
- Educate the studio on Japanese trends and challenges
- Attend business meetings in Tokyo and other cities
- Host in-person player program events in Tokyo and other cities
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with organizing in-person events
- Fluent in written and spoken Japanese with a high level of proficiency
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Thorough comprehension of the company's core values and long-term vision
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks
Preferred Experience:
- Basic familiarity with Photoshop editing
- Extensive experience with the company's games
- Familiarity with other free-to-play games
- Experience in organizing live events
- Proficient in English
