Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Specialist who will be responsible for designing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating employee training and development programs. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design methodologies, and a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and a proven track record in developing and delivering engaging and impactful training programs.
 
Candidate Profile
• 4 to 6 years of experience in Learning Design/Operations
• Proven experience as a Learning and Development Specialist or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment (professional certifications in training and development, instructional design is a bonus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (formal training in writing and/or design would be a bonus)
• Well versed with instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques
• Proficiency in developing instructional design deliverables (design documents, storyboards) and working with learning authoring tools
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Creativity and innovation in developing training materials and approaches
  
Responsibilities

Training Program Design and Delivery:
 Training Program Design: Develop engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules (using authoring tools like Camtasia and Articulate suite), instructor-led training materials, and job aids.
• Training Delivery: Deliver high-quality training sessions to employees at all levels, ensuring the content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with the organization's learning objectives.
 Facilitation: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and interactive learning experiences, fostering a collaborative and participatory atmosphere that encourages active learning and knowledge retention.

Training Needs Assessment and Evaluation:
Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop relevant training curriculums that align with organizational goals
• Conduct thorough training needs assessments to identify skills gaps and development opportunities
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback
• Generate reports and summaries to communicate training outcomes to management

Learning Strategy Implementation:
• Assist in the development and implementation of the overall organizational learning and development strategy
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in learning and development, and incorporate innovative approaches into training strategies
• Identify and assist in setting up the learning management system (LMS), including course development, deployment, and reporting
