The Role
Legend is hiring a German Content Editor, reporting directly to our Managing Editor. This role will support our DACH content team to launch and optimise industry-leading iGaming websites in German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
In this role, we value diverse perspectives and encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed.
Your Impact:
- Be a gatekeeper for our DE (German) speaking markets providing high-quality content through proofreading, line editing, and writing to match our content guidelines and standards.
- Create briefs (based on templates) for new content that will go out to freelancers.
- Editing all copy for your markets from freelancers/agencies to ensure it meets QA criteria before going live on-site providing high-quality content for our audiences.
- Optimising existing content based on our user and SEO best practices to meet our internal KPIs. Using tools like ahrefs and SurferSEO to recommend further improvements.
- Contributing your skills and expertise to a high-performing team to improve our content strategies.
- Use your skills and keen eye to suggest new, innovative ways of engaging our iGaming audience and expanding our reach in our DACH markets.
What You’ll Bring:
- A strong command of German grammar and language, being a native level speaker, with working English language skills
- Relevant experience in a similar role editing & optimising content for the web.
- Hands-on experience with SEO from a previous role and experience using metrics to monitor/validate content success.
- Solid writing and proofing skills, as well as an unrivalled eye for detail.
- A “can do” attitude that thrives when working to deadlines in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Be self-motivated, imaginative and confident in working on your own initiative and with autonomy.
- Team player mentality. We like to work with friendly people who thrive when working collaboratively.
- Improvement mindset. Constantly striving to learn, develop and grow – you embrace feedback.
It would also be great, but not essential, if you had:
- Fluency in an additional language of Dutch, French or Italian
- Prior experience or knowledge of working in the iGaming industry
- Experience using a Content Management System (CMS) like Contentful or WordPress is a big plus.
The Interview Process:
- 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 minute interview via Zoom)
- 2nd: Interview with our team, Content Managers (1 hour video interview via Zoom)
- 3rd: Take home task - you will be given 3 days to complete the task.
- 4th: Final interview with our team, GM and Content Manager (1 hour video interview via Zoom)
