The Role
Legend is hiring a News Content Editor, reporting directly to our Senior Content Editor. You’ll be creating educational and industry-related content for one of the biggest brands in the iGaming space, which reaches millions of players every year.
Managing our News desk and collaborating with our freelance writers. Overseeing the editorial operations to ensure the highest editorial standards to deliver engaging, timely, and accurate content that drives traffic. Supporting the news mission to make our product the most authoritative resource for igaming news across the globe.

Your Impact:
- Manage Editorial Freelancers: Oversee and manage the editorial freelancers, ensuring high-quality content production, guidance, and adherence to deadlines. Nurturing your freelancer roster to secure the best industry talent.
- Develop Content Strategy: Craft and implement the editorial vision and strategy in alignment with the company’s goals. Establish methods to enhance audience engagement and expand the readership base.
- Drive High- Performance: Monitor and evaluate content performance metrics (e.g., traffic, engagement) to make data-driven decisions for improving content effectiveness, while applying SEO best practices and leveraging data to enhance content visibility and audience engagement.
- Current & Relevant Stories for Users: By staying to up to date with current events, industry trends to ensure relevant and timely coverage.
- Improve Editorial Quality: Leading initiatives to improve editorial workflows and processes. Explore, share and implement new content formats, storytelling techniques, and distribution methods.
What You'll Bring:
- A strong command of English grammar and language. Solid writing and proofing skills, as well as an unrivalled eye for detail.
- Proven experience as a Journalist in the periodical/ newspaper industry for English speaking markets, ideally for North America. You will have taken stories from initial concept, source verification to briefing a freelance writer to successfully driving traffic to site.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with business goals and drives audience engagement.
- Digital Proficiency: Strong understanding of SEO, content management systems, and analytical tools to optimize content performance and measure success.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead freelance editorial team, encouraging a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Knowledge of the igaming sector, ideally for North America markets.
The Interview Process:
- 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
- 2nd: Interview with our team, Senior Content Editor & Content Editor(1 hour video via Zoom)
- 3rd: Take home task - you will be given 5 days to complete the task and present it back to the team, Head of Growth & Senior Content Editor (1 hour video via Zoom)
