About The Role

As a Security Specialist at Lumary, you’ll be leading the charge in ensuring the security of our systems and operations. Your role will involve running our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and implementing continuous improvement to enhance security at Lumary. In our fast paced environment, you’ll collaborate closely with different teams to safeguard our information assets and uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.

You'll actively participate in all IT audit activities, and leverage your knowledge to uphold compliance standards and mitigate risks effectively. This dynamic role offers continuous learning and growth opportunities, and the chance to make a tangible impact on Lumary's security posture.

A day in the life

    • Develop, implement, and maintain information security governance frameworks, policies, and standards
    • Proactively lead the coordination and maintenance of our ISO 27001 certification, including assisting the team in creating and maintaining security documentation and policies
    • Collaborate on the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees
    • Continuously conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential security risks to our information systems and enhance our security monitoring processes
    • Respond to and investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary to mitigate risks effectively
    • Monitor and review user access logs for any suspicious activity and take appropriate action
    • Assist IT in managing user access to systems and applications, ensuring proper authorisation
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain development security practices, ensuring that security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
    • Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to uphold security standards
    • Proactively research and learn about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to define and implement security controls.

About you

    • Prior experience working in information security, risk management, and compliance
    • Strong understanding of security governance frameworks and standards, especially ISO 27001
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
    • Knowledge of security incident response procedures and methodologies
    • Ability to identify critical issues and risks and deal with them proactively and independently
    • Proven ability to effect positive change with respect to security while maintaining relationships
    • Detail-oriented and thrive in environments offering diverse challenges
    • Enthusiastic about continuous learning and are always looking to grow
