The Testing and Regulatory Affairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.

Plans and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the Product Compliance team and the organization’s Vice President. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues, tracks key projects and meetings/events, and required information for the Vice President to facilitate efficient decision making. Acts as a point of contact for management, local and remote department employees and other stakeholders. Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance. Advances major goals to support broad functional objectives. Develops policies with various functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall Product Compliance team’s mission, vision and strategy

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and departmental heads, formulating recommendations and driving to timely decision making
    • Champion strategic employee engagement and events- town halls, all hands meetings etc., in collaboration with the People Team.
    • Participate in key meetings with internal, external partners-document meeting notes, distribute action items/tasks and track progress.
    • Act as an extension of the VP office in meetings and/or project teams
    • Review, design, and execute on improvements to the org structure, work with leadership to determine and address knowledge and skill gaps.
    • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
    • Support the workplace services team in overseeing the operations of the Long Beach office through collaboration with the Vice President and senior management, performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning and coordinating annual corporate meetings, and working closely with scheduling facilities.
    • Own agenda and execution of weekly staff meetings, all-hands meetings and events. Providing summary notes and executing on follow-up items coming out of meetings.
    • Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations.
    • Assist the People Team with new hires, including documentation and onboarding.
    • Coordinate companywide initiatives with the Seattle Principal Program managers and other departments.
    • Orchestrate cross-functional opportunities for collaboration to ensure continued focus and execution on KPI’s, milestones and deliverables.

Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.

    • Required Qualifications:
      Minimum level of education required and required field of study:
    • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
    • Strong organizational & project management skills for defining and executing processes and procedures.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.

Minimum skills required:

    • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
    • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity.
    • Experience with planning and leading strategic initiatives.
    • Exercises a high degree of maturity, discretion, and integrity, as this role requires handling confidential information.

    • Will accept equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education

      7 years

      Combination of Degree and Years of experience acceptable (minimum):
      Bachelors + 3 yrs / Masters + 1 yrs
