MBRDNA’s Autonomous Driving team is responsible for developing and implementing the next generation of autonomous driving systems together with US-based partners (Luminar, NVIDIA, etc) and colleagues in Germany. Systems include hardware and software.

The purpose of this position is support and coordinate with teams that develop algorithms and software in the fields of Maps, Localization, Planning and non-functional software for Mercedes-Benz vehicles of the SAE levels 2-4. Major contributions are expected to the overall architecture and design of Mercedes-Benz vehicles as part of the global MB R&D team in coordination with peer groups in the US, India and in Germany.

Relocation assistance (domestic or international) is not provided for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Oversee fleet of DC vehicles and ensures maximum online time.
    • Manages bring-up, bug fixing, maintenance, and repairs while meeting project goals.
    • Coordinate with global stakeholders on US Fleet ETAs and allocations based on capacity.
    • Collaborate with legal to update partner agreements, maintain compliance, and streamline accident reporting process.
    • Report KPI and fleet health to Senior Management.
    • Manage parts inventory and procurement to keep operational goals and minimize downtime.
    • Execute Data Integrity drives to verify vehicle performance following bring-up and repairs.
    • Oversee Data Collection Zams to ensure timely delivery to partner companies, resolving hardware failures, and overall supply to the fleet.
    • Support Autonomous Development Operations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or other Technical Discipline.
    • 3+ years experience in Autonomous Data Collection Operations or equivalent.
    • Working on a computer for long periods of time.
    • Ability to access inside/outside of vehicles and tight spaces.
    • Transport multiple cases of ZAM.
    • Valid US Driver's License.
The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related education, skills, and experience, geographic location, and market conditions. The current salary range for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $101,400 - $126,800.
