Job Description: 
As part of our dynamic team, we are seeking a skilled Financial Planning & Analysis Lead to drive the financial strategy and analysis at Machina Labs. This role plays a vital part in steering our financial planning, decision-making, and overall business strategy. The FP&A Lead will collaborate across departments, providing insights and recommendations to drive financial efficiency and sustainable growth. Additionally, this role will work closely alongside our Data Analysis team to create calculators and metrics dashboards that provide crucial insights to our leadership. 

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making. 
    • Analyze financial performance and present findings to key stakeholders, highlighting opportunities and risks. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. 
    • Work closely with the Data Analysis team to create calculators and metrics dashboards for leadership. 
    • Drive financial planning processes, including annual budgeting and long-term strategic plans. 
    • Assess and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
    • Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards to track KPIs and financial performance. 
    • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial guidance for projects and initiatives. 

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 
    • 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance or a similar role (Investment Banking, Consulting, etc.). 
    • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques. 
    • Excel mastery and SQL literate 
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. 
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial information effectively. 
    • Experience in a technology, manufacturing, or high-growth environment is a plus.
