We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Salesforce applications. You will collaborate closely with our Product Development team to implement effective testing strategies, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities of a QA Engineer:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
- Develop test strategies and approaches to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of Salesforce applications.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to verify software functionality, usability, and performance.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing, leveraging industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Defect Management: Document and track defects using issue tracking systems, such as JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and isolate issues, providing detailed bug reports and reproduction steps.
- Quality Assurance Processes: Implement and maintain best practices for quality assurance, including test automation, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Contribute to the refinement and improvement of QA processes and methodologies, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the team.
- Collaboration and Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and customer support teams, to ensure alignment on quality goals and priorities.
- Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide input on QA-related activities and initiatives.
We would love to work with you if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on testing Salesforce applications or platforms.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Platform, etc.).
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, ApexTest, etc.) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Apex, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence quality outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Developer, etc.).
- Experience with Salesforce AppExchange development and packaging.
- Knowledge of Salesforce-specific testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Salesforce DX, Selenium WebDriver for Salesforce, etc.).
- Familiarity with performance testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter, etc.).
$3,500 - $4,000 a month
