About This Opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated Corporate Paralegal who is interested in the intersection of construction and technology to provide critical support to Mosaic’s Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working either in the in-house legal department of a small to midsize company or a law firm representing similar companies.

*The Corporate Paralegal position is based out of Mosaic’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The Corporate Paralegal will have the opportunity to maintain a hybrid schedule. Work hours are anticipated to be 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday with occasional after - hours and weekend work as necessary to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Support a growing legal department with all elements of business operations including corporate structuring and governance; banking, finance, and start-up fundraising; insurance and risk management; intellectual property; litigation and disputes; and general contractor licensing and compliance
    • Develop and implement complex process solutions and new technologies with due regard for the challenges inherent in scaling a start-up company
    • Conduct research and resolve routine legal questions under the guidance of Corporate Counsel
    • Prepare routine documents, agreements, and contracts, such as confidentiality, consulting, and service provider contracts
    • Maintain databases for contracts, entity management, licensing, and other critical information
    • Review documents and transmit information and documents to outside counsel and company personnel with minimal guidance from Corporate Counsel
    • Manage special projects outsourced to consultants or outside counsel
    • Serve as a trusted thought partner and strategic collaborator with the Corporate Counsel

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or paralegal certificate required
    • 3+ years demonstrated experience supporting an in-house legal department or law firm corporate practice required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Westlaw products
    • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, Asana, Slack, and Miro a plus
