Munich Electrification is an innovative company founded with the aim of accelerating the transition to electric mobility. We develop innovative battery management systems for electric vehicles for our global customers. In 2022, we founded the Joint Venture QULECTRA together with Wieland-Werke AG.
Both companies share a multi-year partnership in the provision of battery management systems with shunt-based precision resistors. Your Role

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, you are responsible for the design and development of our smart and basic current sensor product portfolio. In a dynamic environment, you own the system level specification and work directly with the management on product definition and product architectures. You define the hardware requirements based on the system functions, are responsible for component selection and implement the sensors in schematic and layout. Close coordination with the interface partners from software, testing and mechanical engineering is part of your daily work.
Together with partners inside and outside the company, your objective is to build world leading sensor technology to the highest quality and process standards. You will have decisive influence on the technical concepts of future battery management systems through your work and you will be a key person to build up an experienced engineering team within the company.

Your Responsibilities

    • Design Responsibility for Circuit Components and/or complete smart current sensor PCBAs
    • Schematic and layout design in Altium Designer
    • Component selection, supplier communication during development, creation and maintenance of component libraries
    • Design analysis and documentation according to the project specifications
    • Design, execution and analysis of engineering, validation and production tests and test equipment in coordination with other departments

Your Profile

    • Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field
    • Significant professional experience in electronics development, automotive experience welcome
    • Expertise in the fields of analog and digital circuit design, experience with EMC optimization
    • Experience with Functional Safety (ISO26262) and/or insulation coordination (IEC 60664) welcome
    • Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a project
    • Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles
    • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English; German favorable)
