Nestig is a digitally native brand for nursery essentials with a mission to inspire tiny imaginations and big design visions through design-forward products and a great customer experience. As one of the fastest-growing consumer brands in 2022, we have big plans for our upcoming year to continue that level or growth through rapid product expansion, border marketing efforts and increased operational efficiency. We are looking for a Director of Finance with an all-around skillset to oversee our company’s financial planning and accounting operations.

This role is based out of our New York City office and will report into the CEO.

What You’ll Do

    • Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating performance and potential risks
    • Perform regular financial analysis and prepare detailed reports
    • Develop budgets for company departments that enable them to meet their goals while staying financially disciplined 
    • Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance stakeholders
    • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal margins and long-term unit economics
    • Ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines
    • Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions for optimization and improvement
    • Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company
    • Control the company’s cash-flow, working capital and international accounts payable

Who You Are

    • A minimum of 5 years experience in financial management, investment banking, managerial consulting, private equity or venture capital
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting, corporate governance, and financial analysis
    • Knowledge of financial forecastingExperience managing company cash flow
    • An all-around player who loves jumping into a little bit of everything
    • Comfortable building processes from scratch
    • Fluent in Portuguese 
    • Bonus: experience working with ecommerce
