This Staff Engineer position is a unique opportunity to impact some of the most innovative companies today. You will operate in a fast-paced environment—regulations are evolving, and market demand is sky-high for new financial products.

As a Staff Engineer at Notabene, you’ll have the freedom to make a big impact on how crypto transactions are performed around the world today. You’ll be a part of a smart, driven and growing team of passionate crypto nerds ahead of big changes in the industry.

As a Staff Engineer, you’ll be expected to contribute in many areas: from brainstorming new ideas and features, planning technical implementations, working with other engineering teams as well as product and design all the way to analyzing data from products deployed to production.

With you on board, our engineering team will continue to build upon our successful API, dashboard and widgets for end-users.

What you’ll be doing

    • You’ll be actively involved in the entire product development lifecycle. From brainstorming ideas to evaluating product success using data and customer feedback.
    • Architecting and implementing cutting-edge features as part of one of our product engineering teams.
    • Working with cutting-edge tech including next-generation event-based distributed backends and graph database systems
    • Crafting blazing fast, data-rich and high security services that ensure billions of dollars in crypto are transacted safe and compliant every month
    • Maintaining the highest level of data security on behalf of our users.
    • Being an advocate for high-quality engineering best-practices across the team

What you bring to Notabene

    • 9+ years building high-performance, highly-available, resilient APIs
    • Practical experience working with event-based backends, functional programming, linked data, graph databases, and any kind of blockchain
    • Extensive experience and understanding of Javascript development e.g. Node.JS / Typescript / Deno
    • Solid working experience with frontend development e.g. React.JS, NextJS
    • Strong English communication skills
    • Practical experience working in a fully-remote team (our team is North America, South America, Europe and Asia)
    • Some familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab CI, Terraform, AWS, Docker or similar is a bonus
    • Curiosity and passion to constantly learn new things
