About Onehouse
Onehouse is a mission-driven company dedicated to freeing data from data platform lock-in. We deliver the industry’s most interoperable data lakehouse through a cloud-native managed service built on Apache Hudi. Onehouse enables organizations to ingest data at scale with minute-level freshness, centrally store it, and make available to any downstream query engine and use case (from traditional analytics to real-time AI / ML).

We are a team of self-driven, inspired, and seasoned builders that have created large-scale data systems and globally distributed platforms that sit at the heart of some of the largest enterprises out there including Uber, Snowflake, AWS, Linkedin, Confluent and many more. Riding off $33M total funding and a fresh Series A backed by Greylock/Addition, we are quickly expanding and looking for rising talent to grow with us and become future leaders of the team. Come help us build the world's best fully managed and self-optimizing data lake platform!

Why We’re Looking For You:

It’s a busy year; we’re helping our customers build cutting edge data lakehouse and infrastructure technology to achieve more, crossed major revenue milestones, and have welcomed many new hires to The House. We have even more exciting revenue, product and headcount goals ahead. One of our main goals is to continue investing in growing our engineering and product teams in our Bangalore office. Without a seasoned and exceptional engineering team, we risk Onehouse’s success. As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will be on the ground to create and manage the technical recruitment process for Onehouse in India, by establishing evaluation standards for candidates, reviewing applicants’ resumes, verifying their references, and holding interviews. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-organizational departments to identify hiring needs and devise innovative structures that support efficient recruitment.

Other duties you will assume include building vast talent pools and candidate pipelines through conference meetups and social media engagement and recommending the implementation of new processes to optimize the existing hiring practices.

A Typical Day:

    • Own the full-cycle recruiting process, from our first touchpoint with candidates to closing them in partnership with our head of engineering, hiring managers, and peers.
    • Partner with Onehouse Engineering and TA team to identify non-traditional ways to reach out to and attract best fit, passive candidates.
    • Own the full interview design process: from development & revision of job descriptions to architecting interview panels, ensuring alignment & calibration amongst interviewers, and tightly collaborating with hiring managers to distill what signal we’re looking for and how we test for it.
    • Ensure a highly consistent, well documented and white glove candidate experience for any person that interviews with the Onehouse team
    • Deliver on the hiring goals of the organization by owning the hiring process for technical and non-technical roles in India
    • Be a steward of our interview process in shepherding candidates through every stage, building excellent rapport and urgency into every touchpoint.
    • Be the most dynamic and strongest recruiter your candidate has ever spoken to.
    • Facilitate and nurture long term candidate pipelines & relationships by maintaining a presence in the technical community.
    • Attend job fairs and industry conferences when appropriate.

What You Bring to the Table:

    • 5+ years of experience in a full-cycle  technical recruiting role.
    • Experience in strategic candidate sourcing and building your own pipelines from scratch.
    • Experience in building India based engineering teams for US based technology companies.
    • Proven track record of filling challenging technical positions (ideally data focused roles like data infrastructure or platform engineering) within a competitive market.
    • Solid understanding of recruiting metrics and acquisition practices and methods.
    • Experience with using ATS software, such as Lever, Greenhouse, Ashby or other equivalents.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Experience defining and driving the hiring process end-to-end.
    • Experience leading the hiring process for an organization / small to mid sized company.

House Values
One Team
Optimize for the company, your team, self - in that order. We may fight long and hard in the trenches, take care of your co-workers with empathy. We give more than we take to build the one house, that everyone dreams of being part of.

Tough & Persevering
We are building our company in a very large, fast-growing but highly competitive space. Life will get tough sometimes. We take hardships in the stride, be positive, focus all energy on the path forward and develop a champion's mindset to overcome odds. Always day one!

Keep Making It Better Always
Rome was not built in a day; If we can get 1% better each day for one year, we'll end up thirty-seven times better. This means being organized, communicating promptly, taking even small tasks seriously, tracking all small ideas, and paying it forward.

Think Big, Act Fast
We have tremendous scope for innovation, but we will still be judged by impact over time. Big, bold ideas still need to be strategized against priorities, broken down, set in rapid motion, measure, refine, repeat. Great execution is what separates promising companies from proven unicorns.

Be Customer Obsessed
Everyone has the responsibility to drive towards the best experience for the customer, be an OSS user or a paid customer. If something is broken, own it, say something, do something; never ignore. Be the change that you want to see in the company.
