How will you add to OpenPayd journey?

    • Assisting the Compliance Operations Manager & MLRO in the establishment and maintenance of effective money laundering systems and controls for the French Branch and ensuring such systems and controls comply with applicable local laws and regulations;
    • Preparing and submitting regular AML reports to regulatory authorities as required;
    • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of AML processes and activities;
    • Working closely with the Global Compliance Team to develop the second line of defence in the Company’s governance and internal control framework to ensure adequate compliance oversight, resources and risk management across the Company;
    • Collaborate with various departments such as legal, finance, operations, sales, customer success and HR to align compliance efforts with business objectives;
    • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the compliance program and related processes;
    • Conduct compliance risk assessments, drafting policies and procedures and providing reports to the MLRO;
    • Ensuring the Company is prepared for internal and external compliance audits and assessments;
    • Staying informed about changes in AML laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders;
    • Collaborating with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies when necessary;
    • Attending regulatory forums and industry meetings to keep up to date with industry standards and build trust with other industry players and regulatory or administrative bodies;
    • Performing additional ad-hoc compliance projects as may be require from time to time. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or related field.
    • 3+ years as an AML Officer or in a similar compliance role in the financial industry
    • A strong understanding of compliance regulations and risk management principles in France
    • Strong people skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in teams and on complex programs
    • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and in particular to be able to present credibly and professionally to senior management
    • Able to build strong relationships with peers and business counterparts
    • Applicant must be a French speaker due to a role regulatory responsibility for AML in France
    • You must be comfortable to travel between Malta-UK (London)-France and work remotely (at the beginning) from France
