How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?

    • Daily completion of existing daily safeguarding reconciliations
    • Supporting the Head of CASS & Safeguarding in developing and implementing enhanced internal and external daily safeguarding reconciliations to facilitate compliance of CASS 15 rules
    • Assisting in developing and implementing a framework to facilitate monthly safeguarding reporting to the FCA in line with CASS 15 requirements
    • Assisting in overseeing and managing CASS safeguarding breaches and maintaining the CASS safeguarding breach register, ensuring completion of appropriate root cause analysis, resolution and remediation of Issues In a timely manner
    • Managing and tracking safeguarding breaks and discrepancies through appropriate liaison with the operations and finance teams
    • Maintaining the CASS Resolution pack to ensure that It Is up-to-date and accurate and the five-day rule Is complied with
    • Assisting with the development, enhancement, implementation and maintenance of safeguarding policies, procedures and controls
    • Maintaining the Rules, Risk and controls mapping
    • Assisting with the development of meaningful management information for the purposes of the monthly CASS Safeguarding Governance Committee
    • Assisting in managing the annual safeguarding CASS audit and development of appropriate management responses to facilitate submission to FCA within the prescribed regulatory timeframes.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Excellent technical and working knowledge of the core CASS principles and rules, particularly in relation to the the execution of daily CASS reconciliations (Internal and external) which can be transferred and used to ensure compliance with CASS 15 safeguarding requirements
    • Ability to interpret the CASS 15 Safeguarding rules in the context of the firm's business and operational model so as to support the commercial growth of the firm whilst not compromising compliance with the rules and protection of client assets
    • Ability to explain complex CASS concepts In a way that can be clearly understood and actioned by all stakeholders
    • Confident to manage own workload, coordinate with key stakeholders across the firm including banking team, compliance, legal and operations team as well as other members of the legal team, as well as acting independently, and seek out information required to deliver successful outcomes
    • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and organisational skills
    • Comfortable with a hybrid working environment
    • Keen attention to details
    • Flexible & open minded approach, including taking on additional tasks or changes to the role as required
