About Us:
Osmind is building a revolutionary network to support independent psychiatric practices, particularly those offering innovative treatments like TMS, Spravato, and other interventional modalities. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on RCM leader to build and scale our revenue cycle operations from the ground up, serving as a cornerstone of our services launch in 2025. This role is ideal for a player-coach who can manage daily billing operations while also crafting and executing a forward-thinking roadmap that aligns revenue cycle processes with the company’s long-term goals.
Position Overview:
As Director of RCM, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling best-in-class revenue cycle management operations to support psychiatric practices across the United States. Building on our pilot program foundation, this role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution to develop both onshore and offshore teams focused on maximizing revenue for our provider network while upholding high standards of quality and compliance. A key focus of this role is driving gross margin improvement through AI- and technology-driven initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

This role will be based in the United States with minimal travel required.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall RCM strategy for scaling our RCM services offering beyond the pilot phase
- Expand and lead high-performing teams across the U.S. and international locations
- Set and monitor KPIs to ensure operational excellence and financial targets
- Manage vendor relationships and partnerships
- Oversee team performance and professional development
- Operations & Process Design
- Scale and optimize centralized RCM workflows for complex psychiatric billing—including interventional treatments—by enhancing processes for benefits verification, prior authorization, claims submission, and denials management
- Refine quality assurance frameworks and compliance protocols based on pilot learnings
- Implement industry best practices to ensure clean claims submission and proactively prevent denials
- Develop standard operating procedures and documentation
- Technology & Systems
- Partner with product/engineering teams to define requirements for RCM technology tools
- Evaluate and implement RCM software solutions and automation tools
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency
- Margin Optimization & Technology Integration
- Support gross margin improvement as part of the Company's long-term Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) strategy, with a particular focus on AI and technology-driven initiatives
- Collaborate with the Product and RCM teams to identify and address pain points in current workflows
- Evaluate opportunities to optimize operational efficiency and reduce cost through automation or process redesign
- Provide input on product strategy and roadmap decisions that impact RCM workflows
- Advise on implementation approaches for AI and tech-enabled solutions to improve scalability and margin performance
- Financial Performance & Analytics
- Set and achieve revenue cycle performance targets
- Monitor key metrics, including clean claim rates, days in AR, and denial rates
- Develop reporting frameworks to track team and financial performance
- Identify opportunities for revenue optimization
- Provide regular performance updates to leadership
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing requirements, and stay current with changes in billing rules and regulations
- Maintain documentation of policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits of billing practices
- Client Success
- Ensure high satisfaction levels among provider clients
- Act as the escalation point for complex billing issues
- Build relationships with key provider accounts
Required Experience
- 8-10 years of healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven success scaling RCM operations from early-stage environments to full-scale production, including oversight of both U.S.-based and offshore teams
- Extensive knowledge of behavioral health billing, with expertise in specialized treatments such as Spravato, TMS, and other interventional modalities
- Experienced in implementing and optimizing RCM technology solutions, including automation and workflow tools
- Strong command of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards related to billing and reimbursement
- Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance through operational excellence and strategic RCM leadership
- Track record of managing large, distributed teams (30+ staff) across multiple locations and time zones
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience with psychiatric or behavioral health billing
- Knowledge of TMS, Spravato, or ketamine therapy billing requirements
- Previous experience at a managed services organization or large medical group
- Background in process optimization, automation, or AI implementation in healthcare operations
- The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in revenue cycle management, paired with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to build high-performing teams across multiple geographies. They should be entrepreneurial and energized by the opportunity to scale operations from pilot to full production, all while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and quality. A strategic mindset and experience leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency and improve margins are essential.
$140,000 - $195,000 a year
Depending on experience and location
The reasonably estimated total compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $195,000 annually, which includes base salary and variable compensation components plus an equity package for eligible employees. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local cost of labor.
