PDQ’s Business Analytics and Systems Engineering(“BASE”) team is growing! We are seeking a Data Analyst to build, optimize and oversee PDQ’s conceptual and logical database models. In this role, you'll be analyzing system requirements and implementing migration methods for existing data. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in predictive analysis and data visualization techniques, as well as experience using SQL, PowerBI and dbt.

How you might spend your day:

    • Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data
    • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming
    • Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations
    • Install and organize information systems to guarantee company functionality
    • Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams
    • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
    • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features
    • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
    • Educate staff members through training and individual support  
    • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner

Who you are:

    • Proven work experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role
    • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
    • Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings
    • Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes
    • Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies

We're looking for people who have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or relevant field
    • 2+years’ experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel
    • 2+ years’ experience with data visualization programs, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik 
    • Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
