Job Title:         Provider Scheduling Coordinator   
Reports to:     Supervisor, Provider Scheduling      
 
The Provider Scheduling Coordinator is accountable for scheduling the Progressive Physician Associates (“PPA”) providers for St. Luke’s University Health Network (“SLUHN”) sites.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, communicating and collaborating with SLUHN administration and schedulers to develop schedules that ensure proper coverage and establishing and maintaining knowledge of individual provider skill sets as well as the scheduling needs of each site.

Essential Functions:

    • Using the QGenda Provider Scheduling software which develops and maintains monthly physician working schedules.
    • Ensuring that all SLUHN sites have adequate provider staffing according to established rules and protocols.
    • Understanding the specific daily scheduling needs at each SLUHN location based on specialty, modality, and procedures performed at that location each day.
    • Maintaining intimate knowledge of provider skillset and credentials to ensure proper provider scheduling dependent on hospital network need.
    • Following defined processes, maintains vacation, holiday, and call schedules for all provider.
    • Coordinates with PPA administration to align scheduler and HR records.
    • Making recommendations for process improvements.
    • Supporting company mission, vision and values and champions the same from others.
    • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience in a scheduling and/or credentialing position.
    • Experience working with QGenda or similar system.
