Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis + Hana Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP Basis administration and Hana database management, along with strong leadership skills to lead a team of Basis administrators. This role will involve managing and maintaining the SAP landscape, overseeing Hana database operations, and providing technical guidance and support to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of SAP Basis administrators in managing and maintaining the SAP landscape.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and other SAP applications.
- Monitor and optimize Hana database performance and ensure high availability and reliability of the database environment.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system performance.
- Develop and implement best practices for SAP Basis administration and Hana database management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP systems and Hana database operations.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as infrastructure and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of SAP systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 9-12 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with hands-on experience in managing SAP systems and Hana databases.
- Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, landscape design, and system administration tasks.
- Experience in Hana database administration, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in SAP system upgrades, patches, and migrations, with a thorough understanding of SAP transport management system (TMS).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- SAP certifications in Basis administration and Hana database administration are desirable.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
