Who we are looking for:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Materials Engineer to join our Leadership Development Program (LDP). We are looking for individuals with expertise in materials development, characterization, and process integration. This program will immerse you in the development of next-generation materials for sustainable metals production, giving you hands-on leadership experience in scaling these processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and characterize materials: Lead research and development efforts focused on characterizing and improving materials for use in refining critical metals.
- Optimize materials for refining processes: Develop and optimize materials that improve the efficiency and sustainability of the metal refining process.
- Collaborate with chemical and mechanical teams: Work closely with engineers across disciplines to ensure materials are integrated into production systems effectively.
- Technoeconomic and lifecycle analyses: Assist in developing analyses to ensure materials solutions are cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with Phoenix Tailings’ sustainability goals.
- Operational leadership: Lead day-to-day operations focused on materials testing and implementation.
- Leadership preparation: Gain hands-on leadership experience, working with cross-functional teams and preparing for senior roles in materials engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science or Engineering.
- Experience in materials development, characterization, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Passion for sustainability and innovative materials solutions.
- A desire to grow into a leadership role in a rapidly scaling company.
