Who we are looking for:   

We are looking for a visionary Systems Engineer to spearhead the integration of groundbreaking software and AI solutions into our rare earth metal refining processes. In this role, you'll drive operational excellence and sustainability, leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize operations and shape the future of rare earth metals. 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the seamless integration of software and AI solutions into refinery operations, driving efficiency and sustainability. 
    • Integrate controls systems ensuring the reliability and security of the refinery processes. 
    • Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure the reliability and performance of integrated solutions. 
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with software integration, safeguarding against cybersecurity threats and regulatory concerns. 
    • Utilize machine learning techniques and data analysis to improve refining processes and enhance operational efficiency. 
    • Manage system configurations to optimize refinery performance over time, overseeing the entire lifecycle of software and AI systems, from development to retirement. 
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deploy innovative solutions that address the unique challenges of rare earth metal refining. 
    • Develop and implement data visualization solutions for operations, engineering, and R&D teams to enhance decision-making processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 
    • Proven track record of 8-10 years in systems engineering roles, specializing in rare earth metal extraction and purification. 
    • Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and AI/ML frameworks  
    • Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, PLC programming, and data acquisition systems, including MES and ERP systems. 
    • Familiarity with Ignition SCADA system. 
    • Demonstrated capability in designing and implementing complex software systems, emphasizing system architecture design and integration. 
    • Strong analytical acumen and adeptness in risk assessment and mitigation strategies. 
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. 
    • Thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating adaptability and efficiency in meeting project deadlines and objectives.
