Mobility is set to change more fundamentally than it has in a century.

The very foundation of how we move about is being shaken to its core, with electric vehicles,
autonomous driving, and ride hailing set to completely revolutionise the delivery of mobility in the
2020s.

Meanwhile, the service delivery of how we browse, buy and finance our cars is changing at similar
break-neck speed. Tesla’s success has sounded the death knell for the large, out-of-town retail
spaces with the intimidating, opaque environments that car dealerships have become synonymous
with.

Over the next 3 years, we’re set to develop and deliver an entirely new online journey for clients,
centred around the personal, expert client experience we have become known for.

We will retain this personal approach, while developing an unrivalled digital experience for clients, harnessing our expertise for the professional markets we serve.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love the idea of working in a scaling up organisation using your finance and accounting skills to be an integral part of the team, then we would love to hear from you.

About the role

We're looking for a full-time Financial Controller to join our team supporting Pike + Bambridge during a period of rapid growth. As Financial Controller, you will form part of the Frontline Management team at Pike + Bambridge, working closely with other members of the management team as well as the Founder/CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
·       Production of quarterly and monthly commercial reporting, including financial statements in coordination with our Accountants AAB
·       Monthly and quarterly P&L reporting for the Board
·       Bi-weekly 180-day cashflow forecasting
·       Support the financial development and awareness of the management team
·       An ability and appetite to be involved in areas of compliance and other ‘support function' management is essential, as this is not a narrow 'finance function only’ role
·       Working closely with the new Finance Administrator (part-time) to ensure all reconciling and ledger control is coordinated effectively
·       Management of ledgers as well as managing the Finance Assistant’s work more generally
·       Perform daily bank, control & funding reconciliations
·       Prepare and process manual journals, accruals & prepayments
·       Coordination with the outsourced teams in VAT, payroll and quarterly accounts at AAB

Your experience
·       Previous Accounting & Finance experience gained within a similar role
·       Diligent, methodical, numerate with a keen interest in broader business
·       Experience of using Xero and general ledger accounting (desirable)
·       An interest in using AI and automation to enhance the effectiveness of the Finance function as we scale. We have a large amount of proprietary tech we have built, and we’re investigating how we can integrate the Finance function more fully with this
·       You’ll have ideally worked in an Owner-managed business before
·       Confident in taking ownership of the business’s Finance function but also a willingness to “get your hands dirty” as in any small business

It’s a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has a strong desire to work for a growing / scaling business, where you will run the finances focused on scaling rather than keeping cash in the bank.
You:
Are always looking for ways to improve and grow.
Hate letting people down.
Want to be proud of where you work.

We:
Care more about your intelligence and values than your experience.
Aren't afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
Think like a customer.
