Staff Accountant

Staff accountant will perform monthly closing procedures; provide management with financial information by analyzing certain accounts and researching information; prepare for annual audit and support management in special projects as needed.


    • Perform monthly closing procedures
    • Create and post journal entries
    • Prepare financial statement account analysis, reconciliation of various general ledger accounts and flux analysis of actual and budget amounts
    • Prepare external schedules for annual audit
    • Assist in revenue accounting for subscriptions and prepare license reports for the Company’s partners
    • Review subsidiary financial schedules, understand variances between months and follow up with subsidiary management
    • Prepare consolidated roll forward schedules
    • Assist with inter-company reconciliations among domestic and foreign entities 
    • Manage company leases and prepare for implementation of new accounting standard
    • Work closely with other accountants within the department to stay informed and ensure that financial activities are properly recorded in a timely manner   
    • Understand and analyze current accounting procedures and controls and recommend improvements when necessary
    • Assist with any ad hoc projects or accounting research needed to support management


    • B.S. in Accounting
    • CPA or candidate preferred
    • 1-3 years of experience
    • Experience with consolidations and foreign currency translation
    • Experience with sales tax accounting a plus
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight reporting deadlines
    • Experience working with large volumes of data to extract desired information for reporting required
    • Strong advanced Excel skills a must
    • Positive attitude and ability to work within a team
