RareCyte is seeking an exceptional life science professional for the position of Sales Director, Eastern North America. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior management and global peers to drive continued market adoption of RareCyte’s innovative technologies for spatial biology and rare cell analysis. Primary responsibility is to ensure achievement of territory sales objectives through identifying and closing new opportunities and through leveraging existing relationships with established key opinion leaders across research, translational and clinical markets. 

Responsibilities

    • Meet or exceed sales target through development and execution of Territory Sales Plan
    • Effectively prospect to engage new contacts and qualify inbound Marketing-Qualified Leads
    • Build/progress/report Territory Sales Funnel updates using Salesforce
    • Partner with the RareCyte team to confidently deliver presentations of the technology and applications in support of commercial opportunities
    • Successfully navigate and manage complex sales negotiations
    • Work with Customer Success Team to ensure customer satisfaction and success
    • Demonstrate responsiveness and enthusiasm for unique insights unlocked by the RareCyte portfolio
    • Requires approximately 30% overnight travel

Qualifications

    • At least 5 years of experience with capital equipment sales in the life science tools market
    • Direct experience in sales to biopharma and academic accounts, with spatial biology or a related area highly preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
    • Deep knowledge of sales techniques, negotiation, and product positioning
    • Experience representing new technologies and/or growth markets is highly desirable
    • Demonstrated track record in lead generation and prospecting
    • Driven to win business and grow long-term, mutually valued customer relationships
    • Enthusiastically represents novel technologies and capabilities
    • Action oriented professional motivated by results and the team’s ability to meet life science market challenges
    • Dedicated team player with exceptional communication skills who eagerly and proactively engages and collaborates with colleagues and customers alike
    • Possesses the organizational skills and ability to set priorities/manage time effectively
    • Makes quality decisions based on experience, judgment and uncompromising integrity
Compensation:
Determining a base wage will be based on several factors which include skill set, level of education, experience and qualifications, as well as the comparison to existing RareCyte employees in the position. Some roles may also qualify for additional compensation such as bonus, commission, stock options and travel allowance.
