As a Staff Engineer at Resilience, you will join a team of experienced engineers, data scientists, and security researchers to build cloud-native tools and services for both internal use and for Resilience customers. You should excel at working as a member of small, cross-functional teams to help build our Policy Administration System.

This position is full-time and is based out of our San Francisco / Baltimore / New York offices, with strong remote work flexibility.


    • Write effective, scalable code
    • Develop back-end components to improve the capabilities and overall performance
    • Implement features on our Policy Administration system which backs our Insurance deal processing pipeline
    • Triage and debug issues in production systems
    • Mentor and guide junior engineers
    • Iterate quickly using Continuous Integration and Deployment principles
    • Coordinate with internal teams to understand product requirements and provide technical solutions
    • See features through from inception to deployment in a Continuous Deployment environment
    • Evaluate and recommend new technology, where appropriate, to meet scalability and growth targets


    • US work authorization
    • 8+ years experience as Software Engineer
    • Experience building Python web applications
    • Experience using git and continuous-integration for distributed software projects
    • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design

Nice to Have

    • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Experience building technology solutions for Insurance or Finance
    • Experience integrating with CRM tools
    • Working knowledge of Javascript
    • Experience with agile development
    • Analytical thinker, with excellent debugging skills
    • Bonus points for experience building successful, high-scale applications
    • Bonus points for experience developing operational tools & monitoring for highly-available services
