The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our high-powered Business Development Team to create and develop strategic partnership opportunities with enterprise clients.
As a Business Development Manager you will prospect and develop new strategic partnership opportunities that grow our customer base, build strong recurring partner revenue streams, and contribute to our company’s overall growth.
As a key member of the Business Development Team: you will identify new partnerships and revenue generating opportunities through outreach, networking and developing key messaging to drive engagement with new partnership opportunities through deal closure and implementation.. You will oversee new partnerships and customer programs throughout the sales lifecycle and create strong partner programs that drive ongoing value for RevolutionParts. This role will have some oversight of the ongoing development and success of our partner referral programs.
The successful candidate will have highly polished communication skills and the ability to develop and present compelling and professional meeting content and partner information. You have experience in the automotive sector (preferably parts) and have a deep understanding of eCommerce and the critical elements of successful programs.
You are equally comfortable hunting for new partner and revenue opportunities as you are building partner meeting content and agenda and driving effective meetings that engage partners and move programs consistently forward.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active pipeline of target opportunities for success against new business goals & KPIs
- Development and expansion of new partner programs to ensure strong production toward KPIs
- Professional, consistent, high-level engagement with assigned clients and new opportunities
- Creation, development and ongoing enhancement of opportunity pipeline through research, live meetings, supporting data, and customer communications
- Project-based work on BD team operations, strategic support, and program development
- Creation of customer-facing meeting content, presentations, supporting data points, and key information to share
- Running new/existing client meetings from agenda through probing questions, qualifying needs, and presenting RP value prop
- Accessing and analyzing related data and analytics to determine opportunity areas by sharing highlights with clients and informing them of strategic decisions
- Highly comfortable with RP value-proposition: platform & product/solutions. packages & offerings, capable of delivering a compelling and proficient product demo on-demand
- Working with various internal teams to support opportunity needs, plan successful models, and support client requests
- Understanding of basic digital marketing
- Work with Finance on deal modeling and accounting needs
- Interface regularly with the strategy team on technical, legal, and emerging technology initiatives
- Product & Engineering teams to understand roadmap, core initiatives, ProServ options, and scoping process
- Sales Team for alignment, knowledge growth, KPIs, and program growth collaboration
- Providing pipeline forecasting and program readouts
- Tracking and overseeing early-stage opportunity-base projects with stakeholders, action items and deliverables
- Independent self-driven prospecting for opportunities, new revenue models, potential partnerships, and generally expanding BD revenue and accounts penetration
Requirements
- Comfortable creating and managing a full pipeline of strategic client opportunities
- Ability to evaluate customer needs set, propose solutions and program models based on delivering a business outcome, value, profitability, and alignment with strategic initiatives
- Ability to manage corporate relationships and collaborate with business teams and project stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable selling SaaS/Technology solutions and discussing high-level technical details
- Ability to provide pipeline value modeling and forecasting, calculate and manage value and key program metrics
- Proficiency with PowerPoint of Google Slides and ability to create compelling presentations
- Proficiency with G Suite, MS/Office, especially Excel/Gsheets
- Comfortable working with data and reporting to extract insights and inform path to success
- Comfortable and consistent using Salesforce or similar CRM
- Some knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Comfortable using various web conference software
- Basic project management understanding and capabilities
- Knowledge and ability to apply sales methodologies as needed within certain client models

- Friendly and consultative when explaining something where the listener is not an expert
- Ability to call upon expertise in our industry to support client needs/strategy and build customer confidence
