The Software Engineering department is looking for our next talented teammate to support our next phase of growth disrupting the automotive industry. The Senior DevOps Engineer at RevolutionParts will be responsible for improving and maintaining cloud infrastructure as well as broadly impacting engineering as a whole through infrastructure and automation. You'll be joining a team of problem-solving achievers where everyone, including you, is constantly improving their knowledge, skills, and cares about product quality, scalability, and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop our cloud infrastructure improving its reliability, performance, and scalability
- Build monitoring solutions that will allow us to catch problems early and ensure they don’t recur
- Ensure that our infrastructure is in codeTroubleshoot Linux-based systems
- Evangelize DevOps best practices across EngineeringAdvocate for the 12 factor app principles
- Manage access and accounts with a focus on automating secure access and the principle of least privilege
- Share relevant security and industry trends with the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on production cloud experience including at least 2 years of AWS (certification is a plus)
- Experience with software development in any language (we use php/Go)Experience in provisioning
- Production infrastructure
- Experience with automation tools using TerraformHands-on experience with Linux-based infrastructures
- Experience with administering RDBMs including mysql
- Experience implementing and maintaining stateful platforms such as Elasticsearch, Redis, InfluxDB, or related
- Familiarity with containers and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, Nomad, or others
- Experience executing or working with tools for vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Github Actions, GitLab, or related
- Experience with secrets management using tools like Vault
