We are looking for a Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate should have engineering experience and background with a degree in a relevant engineering field from a college or university.
The role will require working within a cross disciplinary team in a production environment to sustain our manufacturing efforts. The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience in Electrical Engineering, good design practices, and product lifecycle. Project involvement will be in a manufacturing environment engaging with floor supervisors, assembly team members and engineers to identify and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

    • Mechanical build of custom panels
    • Components installation - mechanical and electrical
    • Point to point wiring
    • Harness assembly and testing
    • Ensuring electrical system meets safety standards
    • Develop and test control systems for electrical systems
    • Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members
    • Maintain strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
    • Debugging and troubleshooting
    • Manage incoming support inquires from our Ops Team.
    • Balance incoming support requests and escalation, while performing root cause analysis
    • Assist in creating and maintaining of process documentation and technical debt
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in electronics/electrical engineering, electrical technician, or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
    • Experience with manufacturing processes - assembly, root cause analysis
    • Experience with wire harness design and electrical architecture drawings
    • Experience with electrical debug
    • Familiar with low voltage AC/DC systems, Power supplies , Batteries and control systems
    • Understands how to read electrical schematics
    • Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team (any overlapping experience is a plus)
    • Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
    • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication to interact with all levels of management
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to small details

Preferred experience

    • Able to work in a project start-up context
    • Able to see any complex system as a set of small subsystems
    • Experience in a technical support role
    • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux desktop operating systems 
    • Experience working with PLCs and industrial controls
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Standards and/or certification experience
