We at RAD are a technology/AI company that delivers AI powered security devices to the guarding industry. We are looking to bring on an experienced Operations manager to our production team. The role will be managing day to day operations of the assembly team members, budgeting, scheduling and overseeing all areas related to production.

Responsibilities

    • Production Scheduling - This role will need you to lead the production facility to meet desired company production rates. Resolve any bottlenecks or issues preventing regular production.

    • You will be responsible for generating weekly, monthly and quarterly production schedules formulated from on-hand inventory, arriving inventory and current customer orders. You will need to assign and supervise the daily responsibilities of team members to fulfill the schedules.

    • Budget and Costing - You will work with our existing materials team to ensure on hand material is supplied ahead of production demand. You will need to generate reports for forecasted inventory spend, non-inventory spends and manage expenses related to facility maintenance.

    • Goals and Objectives: You will be leading the effort to carry out management’s operational objectives of increasing output and quality. Your efforts will need to be in line with the company’s goals for growth, you will need to manage/motivate teams to meet those goals.

    • KPI's - You will need to generate KPI's and reporting back successes/failures. Our goal is continuous improvement and understanding where we need to focus effort for growth.

    • Employee growth and team development - As a leader, you will need to foster the growth of individuals in your department and teams. We are a team-based company and want to grow and promote from within. Document and track employee KPIs and provide annual employee reviews.

    • Product transition: You will need to work directly with other management team members to bring new product roll outs to the manufacturing floor.  
    •  
    • We follow OSHA guidelines and best practices; in this role you will be expected to adhere to existing policies and generate new policies to maintain safety. 

Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalence in accumulated work experience. 
    • Management experience 8-10 Years in a managerial role 
    • Experience with production scheduling 5+ years. 
    • Experience with Inventory Management 5+ Years. 
    • Experience with new production transition. 
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, JIT, and 5S principals.

Preferred Experience

    • Engineering experience, Degree, or technical certification. 
    • Assembly experience 
    • Electrical wiring 
    • Software code experience 
    • Experience with new product roll out/transition. 

Job Knowledge

    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Experience using ERP and MRP (NetSuite, SAP, Etc.)
    • Strong knowledge/understanding of OSHA regulations
    • Experience with Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, Teams, Etc.
    • Strong Motivation and organizational/planning skills
    • Ability to lead, Assign, and direct workflow throughout the department
    • Multitasking skills with the ability to work in a highly dynamic and growing environment.
    • Detail oriented with a high level of emphasis on accuracy and completeness

Physical Demands

    • Light to moderate physical exertion required. 
    • Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs.: 50 
    • Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
