Royal is creating an open market for true ownership of music.

For the first time, artists can share music rights directly with fans, building a new revenue stream that empowers them to retain control over their work.

Music ownership has been limited to labels and private equity groups — a setup that has resulted in only 12% of recorded music revenue going to artists (and 0% going to fans). With royal, artists create more value for their music, powering their career while taking their fans on the journey with them. 

This is the beginning of an era where artists and fans see each other as partners. Royal is at the forefront of this movement, developing new technologies leveraging the blockchain to unlock the power of ownership both for artists and fans.

Royal is looking for a brand designer to shape its visual language and own the design expression of its brand across all channels. ​​The brand designer will partner closely with the Creative Director to ensure strategic and seamless design experiences — working with marketing, artist relations, and product to define our brand, drive ways to make it recognizable and relevant, and develop a perspective on the user end-to-end to journey.



You will...

    • Define the visual language of Royal’s brand.
    • Bring strategic acumen for building timeless brands through brand architecture.
    • Create brand systems, behaviors and design solutions with a high level of craft.
    • Develop original breakthrough design thinking for a variety of marketing touch-points, including but not limited to: social media, paid advertising, video content, web design.
    • Collaborate with creative, marketing, product, and product design, to establish a clear and concise brand voice, tone, and personality and break down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas.
    • Partner closely with Product Design to maintain a cohesive and consistent brand experience between our marketing surfaces and the product.
    • Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design.
    • Help educate others on design thinking, brand experience, and design-driven storytelling.
    • Continually iterate on concepts in an effort to make the brand relevant and relatable to our audiences.

What we're looking for:

    • 8+ years of experience designing for brands.
    • Portfolio featuring consumer branding, product design, and web design work.
    • Experience across the full palette of design expression: traditional, digital (including products), experiential, and ideas that drive earned media.
    • Experience leading teams and creative partners.
    • Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player.
    • Passion for working in a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
