At Ryz Labs, we are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join one of our client's teams. The client is on a mission to revolutionize the promotional product blank apparel industry by combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional customer service and fastest-in-class delivery.
About the Role
The Senior Frontend Engineer will focus on creating and improving frictionless, user-friendly web applications. Using established technologies as a foundation, you will work collaboratively with different teams to develop reliable and appealing web experiences. The role calls for a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a consistent focus on their customer's needs and expectations.
In addition, this role requires a balanced understanding of the latest industry trends alongside a respect for proven technologies. A successful candidate will maintain high coding standards and promote a culture of open communication and continuous learning across cross-functional teams. This is an opportunity for a developer with a keen eye for detail to contribute significantly, guiding deliverables with a thoughtful and focused approach.
You will:

What We’re Looking For
Technical Expertise:
- BS in computer science (or equivalent) with 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Expert understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
- Good knowledge of server-side templating languages such as ERB, HAML, Mustache
- Familiarity with server-side CSS preprocessors like SCSS or SASS
- Experience working with Bootstrap or other grid-based layout systems
- A knack for writing clean, readable code
- Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
- Excellent understanding of React/Vue JS frameworks
- Deep understanding of CSS, BEM components, and front-end best practices
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Rails, Django or Node is beneficial (Rails preferred but not required)
- Experience integrating with social APIs, CDNs, and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with code versioning tools, especially Git
- Experience using agile story tools like JiraCross-browser testing experience using tools like Browserstack or SmartBear
- A collaborative mindset, ready to work with various teams and contribute to a knowledge-sharing environment
- Proactive problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing potential issues before they become problems
Additional attributes that would add value:
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
- An understanding of SEO best practices
