RYZ Labs is looking for a Production Artist to join one of our client’s teams in the sports merchandising industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing, assembling, and adapting trading card designs for both digital platforms and print production, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and creativity at every step.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically adept, and passionate about delivering flawless digital and print assets. Candidates with a passion for sports and entertainment will likely find themselves a strong cultural fit.
Responsibilities
Create, manipulate, and adapt digital assets (layered PSDs, posters, mockups) for use across websites, social media, and marketing platforms.
Implement effects such as foils and finishes to accurately reflect printed card designs in digital formats.
Prepare print-ready files, ensuring accuracy in colors, fonts, and layouts, following established templates and specifications.
Conduct thorough quality checks to guarantee consistency and error-free output.
Collaborate with creative, digital, production, and brand teams to align on specifications, proofs, and deliverables.
Use workflow systems such as Prinergy to process files, including imposition and trapping for optimal print output.
Stay up to date on design software, printing technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve workflows.
Communicate effectively across teams using tools like Microsoft Teams and Slack to keep projects on track.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Production Artist, Digital Designer, or Pre-Press Operator.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Strong understanding of print production processes, color management, file formats, and pre-press workflows.
- Familiarity with Prinergy or other workflow systems (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain design consistency across multiple projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends (remotely) as needed.
- Passion for sports, collectibles, and staying current with industry trends.
